OVERVIEW
This Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Qualification is aimed at learners who currently work, or want to work in construction and it is an approved CSCS card course. The course helps learners gain valuable construction industry knowledge to progress with a career in construction.
How to get the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Qualification
The Level 1 course is delivered through classroom and online training and the multiple choice exam is carried out in the classroom at the Centre. The exam result will be made immediately on the screen once the test has finished.
How much does the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Qualification cost?
The total cost for this course that includes all training material and exam fees is £150
What are the next steps after passing this course?
To apply for your Green CSCS Card, you will need to first pass the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test. After passing the touchscreen test you will be able to apply for the new Construction Skills Certificate Scheme (CSCS) Green Card. This Green CSCS Card will allow you access to construction sites in the UK as a non-skilled worker.
How long does the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Qualification last for?
The Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Qualification does not have to renewed again once you have passed the qualification. You will however need to renew your Green CSCS Card every 5 years by passing the CITB Health, Safety and Environment Test.
What are the next steps after the Level 1 Award in Health and Safety Qualification?
Once you have gained on site experience carrying out a particular job, you can go and seek a NVQ in that trade or profession that will prove you have the knowledge and competency which GLS Training Solutions will be able to assist you with.
